This year, HarvardXR is hosting its annual showcase and spotlight in partnership with Founders Lab, a deep tech founder initiative born out of MIT Reality Hack.

๐Ÿš€ Who Can Apply?

  • Creatives w/ XR Projects โ€“ XR-related projects, including motion graphics, CGI films, media installations, projection mapping, and academic work.

  • Foungers w/ an In-Market Startup โ€“ XR startups with active customers, partnerships, or validated market interest. (Pre-market startups should apply under the Creative Track.)

๐Ÿ“ข Showcase Style Preference:

  • Quick Pitch โ€“ 3-minute presentation to the audience.

  • Demo Booth โ€“ Show your project at a dedicated table.

  • Acceptance Notice: April 7th

  • Confirmation Deadline: April 11th

  • Showcase: April 19th @ Gund Hall, Cambridge, MA

  • 3 minute or less demo of your concept or product, highlighting your itโ€™s objectives and value proposition

  • 1 minute intro of you, your team, and how your team is best positioned to make your idea successful

  • [For startups only] 7-slide or less pitch deck conveying your product's value proposition, features, competitive differentiators, customers/partners, business model, and social impact.

๐ŸŽจ Whatโ€™s the selection criteria for artwork and creative ideas

The HarvardXR Showcase Committee composed of artists, developers, researchers will review your application for (1) originality in technique (2) social interpretation (what it means) (3) artists or creatorโ€™s intent

We will evaluate submissions based on the Founders Lab startup evaluation framework, which includes (1) Team & Presentation (2) Problem-Solution Fit (3) Product Innovation (4) Business Model & Competitive Positioning (5) Social Impact
